As the only secondary vocational school in Slovakia in cooperation with The Slovak Centre of Amateur Astronomy in Hurbanovo our school provides for candidates post-secondary education in astronomy in Slovak and Hungarian.

• the study lasts for two years and is realized once per month at three-dayed weekend meeting
• it provides the qualification - graduate gets competent to work at Education Centres, Centres of Amateur Astronomy and at the institutions, which spread knowledge of astronomy
  

The condition to gain admission to the study is The Certificate of General Exam (School leaving exam-Maturita), which can be passed successfully at any secondary school and the concern about astronomy and related fields of study. Students take grade exams every school year and at the end of 2nd grade they do practical and theoretical components of School leaving exam. The study of astronomy is opened every other year. It was the 20th set of study completed in school year 2010/11.
The application can be sent to the school. The 1st round admission procedure is always done till 20th May and the 2nd round by the end of August.
