School resists general tendencies of „violent“ and often only formal change the name of the field of study or the change of the school´s profile at all cost. We react flexibly to trends in building construction and in the modernization of learning-teaching process as well. We make towards transformation from traditional to modern school in content and methodological parts of education.
Despite the demographic decline in previous years our school does not face the problem of the lack of students due to the fact that graduates find employment in labour market even in the period of economic recession.

The school´s aims in upbringing and teaching

• provides for primary school leavers the possibility to study in the engineering field of study 3650 6 in Slovak four classes and eight Hungarian classes
• as the only secondary vocational school in Slovakia in regular two-year set opens two-year long pos-secondary education in astronomy in Slovak in cooperation with Slovak Central Observatory in Hurbanovo
• enables external post-secondary engineering field of study
  

Priorities

• the quality schooling program
• the vocational education and foreign languages teaching
• the innovation of content and methodology of teaching the subjects
• establish contacts and cooperation with consctruction companies and centres vocational education
• the implementation of computerization of education
• the use of information and communication technology in teaching all subjects
• at vocational subjects use graphic systems CAD to design buildings with programs ALLPLAN and ArchiCAD
• the use of economic program CenCROSS for calculation of the budgetary costs of buildings
• the implementation of computerized education program LANGMaster of Basicon into teaching foreign languages
• integrate into projects of schooling and boarding house computerization
  

The priorities of upbringing

• the profiling of the value system of the school
• the support of healthy lifestyle and the prevention of addiction
• human rights education and increase legal awareness
• preparing students for lifelong learning in the line with changing requirements of domestic and foreign labour market
  

The priorities of personnel area

• the aim to keep 100% of skilled and qualified teachers
• support the concern of teachers and educators of school hostel to get further education and develop the qualification
  

The priorities of economy area

• in the context of energy conservation measures we plan to make the insulation of building and replacement of Windows
• invest in the use of attic space thus concentrate lessons to fewer buildings. In this regard, we plan to support the use of EU funds
